Please note that Cultúrlann Sweeney uses a ticket sales system called Databox and this portal is also utilised by glór. When a ticket is booked through glór in person or on the phone, or booked through our website, the customer data that is collected is stored on Databox, and is accessible to Cultúrlann Sweeney and glór. Both venues are in agreement to adhere by the Data
Protection and GDPR legislation in managing this data responsibly and will adhere to each other’s privacy and data protection policies.
1. When you visit our website you can do so without submitting any personal data. However, if you wish to receive our e-communications or book online for tickets you will be asked to submit your name, address, phone number, email address or credit card details when applicable. This information is used to process your order and to provide you with the service you may have requested.
2. If you have provided credit card details when booking in person or over the phone, these will only be used for the purpose of handling an individual booking or order and are not retained in electronic form. A physical receipt is issued to the merchant (Cultúrlann Sweeney) at the time of the transaction, which shows only the last 4 digits of the card used. This receipt is to allow for the merchant to tally their records. These are tallied in a timely fashion and the merchant receipt is held securely for 18 months to satisfy the internal audit requirements of Clare County Council and AIB Merchants Service.
3. Your decision to have further communications from us is recorded on your record and adhered to. You can change your preference for communication with Cultúrlann Sweeney at any point which will be recorded immediately. You will be given the opportunity to opt-out of any marketing campaigns.
4. Your record on our database system holds the contact details you submitted to us, transactions you’ve made, a record of communications we would have sent to you, and whether or not you
have given us permission to contact you and if so, what your preferred method of contact is. If you would prefer to have your booking history removed from our database, please email

5. No information provided will be divulged to any other third party save pursuant to clause 7 hereof, unless we receive your prior authorisation and/or we are required to do so by law.
